Summary
• Responsible for the growth of consumer, business and municipal deposit and loan balances through
acquiring new relationships, expanding existing relationships, and retention efforts
• To ensure the Branch is in compliance with laws and regulations set forth by regulatory
agencies
• To ensure the Branch is adhering to the policies and procedures of Adirondack Bank
• To support the bank’s commitment to the communities we serve
• Leverage leadership skills while embracing and demonstrating the Mission, Vision and Core Values
of Adirondack Bank to always Do the RIGHT Thing
Essential Duties
Leadership
• To be a role model in effective communications, both written and verbal
• To conduct huddles with the branch team to ensure the team is focused while inspiring and
leading the branch team in achieving sales goals aligned with corporate objectives
• To conduct weekly staff meetings that include components for Sales/Service, Training and
Development and Operational Updates. Review topics that provide an educational value to the
employees
• To participate in the recruitment and hiring of branch staff. As well as manage personnel
issues
• To provide formal and informal coaching to the employees of the branch and assist with mentoring
peers as needed
• To ensure completion of all required reporting and that action is taken as needed in a timely
manner
• To ensure that all employees of the branch receive scheduled performance evaluations in a timely
manner
• To reward and recognize team members for their successes and exceptional results
• To be involved in the community through participation in volunteer activities and through
serving non-profit agencies in the market
Sales & Revenue Growth
• To participate in business development opportunities through prospecting for new opportunities
and managing existing relationships and outside calling
• Work with business partners from all lines of business including Mortgage, Small Business,
Commercial, AFS, and AIS to promote referrals and deepen relationships
• To promote the importance of retention and growth of the branch’s customer base
• To achieve growth in the market both or
• To provide branch team with competitive intelligence and ensure their understanding of how to
utilize the tools for sales presentations and handling objections
• To manage controllable expenses and non-interest income generated by the branch
Customer Service:
• To ensure the branch team is providing an exceptional customer service experience to its
clientele
• To follow the prescribed program disciplines that enhance the overall customer
experience
• Conduct routine coaching and observation sessions with staff to ensure the entire branch is
embracing the steps in their daily customer interactions
• To oversee the handling of customer concerns and problem resolution
• Serve customers needs as it relates to new account openings, loan applications, servicing needs
and beyond
Branch Soundness – Operations & Compliance
• To maintain control over branch audit procedures and to ensure compliance. Participation in
responding to audit requests
• To assist with the review and preparation of monthly branch audits and review feedback for
opportunities for improvement
• Must possess knowledge of applicable consumer compliance regulations
• To communicate updates and changes that are critical to performing the day-to-day tasks and
activities of the branch
• To ensure branch staff are provided with opportunities to participate in training and development programs offered by the bank to promote consistency and maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
College graduate or equivalent banking or related experience
Minimum of two years of experience in branch management or a branch banking position Computer
skills
Notary Public or obtain license upon hire
Eligible for NMLS Registration
Availability to work Saturdays and/or to travel to other area branches for meetings or coverage as
needed
OTHER DUTIES:
*In some regions a Branch Manager may possess their MLO license and have additional
responsibilities and goal allocations relative to that role
*At times, there may be a Branch Manager assigned to more than one branch either on a permanent or
temporary basis. In such scenarios, the Manager is expected to appropriately allocate their time between the branches as deemed necessary
